THE HOT JAZZ CABARET

MAIN STREET STUDIO THEATRE will present THE HOT JAZZ CABARET on September 14, 15, 20, 21 & 22 at 8:00pm and September 16 at 2:00pm. The performances will be at The Main Street Studio Theatre, 222 East Main Street, Muncie, Indiana. Tickets are $10 for Adults and $5 for College & younger. The production is rated G and is appropriate for all ages. Reservations and ticket sales are available by calling 765-288-PLAY or at the Box Office. Box Office hours are Tuesday through Friday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm and one hour prior to each performance.

THE HOT JAZZ CABARET is collection of songs and sketches from the late 1890’s through the 1930’s highlighting jazz, ragtime and Vaudeville composers in a traditional cabaret setting. Candlelit tables, seasonal refreshments and the music of Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Cab Calloway, Jelly Roll Morton and Eubie Blake will set the mood as nostalgia fills the room at this unique musical event. Featured songs include “The Flat Foot Floogie”, “Waitin‘ For The Robert E. Lee”, “Ain‘t She Sweet”, “Bye Bye Blackbird”, “Lulu‘s Back In Town” and the rediscovered gem “KEP Your Hands Off My Mojo”. Audiences will be seated at four-top tables and a cash bar and seasonal refreshments will be available at all performances.

The musical evening is directed by Darrin Murrell and stars Angela Brabson, Audrey Brown, Randy Joiner & Marty Grubbs. This and other cabaret shows are available for performances at private functions, parties, meetings, clubs and conventions. For rates and information call 765-288-PLAY.
